Interview with Jshwa
Mattriks: So Jonno you're working on a few projects at the moment, you're working on the full length follow up to the 'Blend 44' e.p called '48', and you're also wrapping up an album you wrote and recorded in the U.K with 'iFly', how is it all going?

Jonathan: mattriks, would you believe it is 3 yrs since we sat down to be 48 in the flesh, and 5 since andy and i hung out in leabridge road to commit 13 tracks to the iFly record. I'm confident we have entered the final phase of both operations. and i am long chi breathing. enjoying the process. learning as i am being learnt upon.
Mattriks: so you must be bustin' to release these projects to the world yeah?
Jonathan: its funny for a long time i was all antz pantz about getting it out to the world but as time goes on i have fallen into a deeper appreciate of the time it takes to get things sounding really good. suffifce to say i feel quite zen with where both projects are at and while we are working strongly toward completion and liberation i am in the moment and it is a good thing
Mattriks: your musical musings take you into deep relationship with the idea that humans are in the midst of a transformation, how is that process for you now, what is happening to us?
Jonathan: an excellent question, friend - i often pursue with great vigor when it comes to practice and i ask myself, well what am i really practicing? you know, where is the process really taking me ? I mean, ok it may take me to the grammys, yes and is that success ? or it could take me to the international space station and that's success ?
Matriks: (he he)
Jonathan: or david rockefeller could call me and offer me a microchip with his personal seal of indulgence and i've won, (chuckle) but when it comes down to it i feel i am in the midst of something unheard or and radical in its potential and the known path for me and my choosing is mysic. what i mean, is, music is helping me transform myself to a point when i can be transformed and it is happening ... slowly ... and beautifully
Mattriks: yeah gotcha, slowly beautifully and possible very soon, if the mayan story carries through it's strong themes....
Jonathan: yes i must admit i am not thinking about it too much in terms of 'counting down the days' i do not want to be too bound by one narrative thread - you know stories, don't you, mattro ?
Mattriks: hehe, yes lots of threads in stories Jshwa. So which album do you think will be released first?
Jonathan: i am pushing for the iFly to be released first as it was begun first, linear speaking
Mattriks: ok great, and can we offer our audience any little audio snippets soon, to whet their appetites? any little mp3 joy for us?or do we just keep checking the ifly myspace?
Jonathan: yeh still saving for the mastering so no specific mp3 to release.
Mattriks: kool ok, MHM does have a few live shows recorded, maybe we can post up a snippet from an ifly live show?
Jonathan: yep if the vibe is there !
Mattriks: great jonno thanks for taking the time to tune in with us today.
Jonathan: no worries, thanks mate,
Mattriks: we look forward to more updates :-)
